Robert Hunter Biden is the son of Joe Biden and his late wife Neilia Hunter. His mother and sister died in a car accident in 1972. This was the same year Joe Biden was sworn in as a United States Senator. Hunter got his bachelors degree from Georgetown University and a juris doctorate degree from Yale. According to Biography.com, Hunter Biden was once in the Navy Reserves.

If you keep up with politics, then you know how many controversies have surrounded Hunter Biden. As the President's son, this could hurt the Biden campaign.
First, let's start with a media company that has a neutral rating according to AllSides. In an article titled Hunter Biden's problems are also his legitimately his Dad's" by The Seattle Times, it is discussed how Hunter Biden used his family's name in order to get business contracts in China, Ukraine, and other countries. While The Seattle Times maintains that this is in no way an an impeachable offense, they make note that this does not look good for President Joe Biden. They state that Joe Biden should have stopped his son from using his political power for his own personal gain. The Seattle times also notes that Hunter Biden is facing an indictment this month for felony gun possession violation.
Next, let's look at a media company who has a left leaning bias according to AllSides. CNN news posted an article titled CNN Poll: A majority of Americans believe Joe Biden, as VP, was involved with son’s business dealings discusses that 61% of American citizens have some belief that Joe Biden was involved with his son's business dealing in other counties while he was vice president. The article then discusses how President Joe Biden has denied any involvement in the business dealing. The CNN article also states that the House Oversight republican have not discovered that President Joe Biden has benefited from this.
Lastly, let's look at a media company who has a right leaning bias according to AllSides. A Fox News articles discuss how recently released communications during the Barack Obama's presidency showed that Hunter Biden's firm had exchanged over 1000 email with then Vice President Joe Biden. The article states that this proves President Joe Biden was involved in the overseas business dealing.
Discussion
Whether a neutral media company or one with a bias, they have been discussing controversies surrounding Hunter Biden. There are many other controversies that were not mentioned in this blog post. The real question is "Does this affect Joe Biden's reelection campaign?". For regular average day people, we are often told that the friends we keep are a reflection of ourselves. However, is our family a reflection of ourselves? As the CNN post stated, a majority of Americans believe that Biden has some involvement in Hunter Biden's business dealings. Whether or not this is true, it cannot change the fact that people believe it.
